You started a couple weeks later than I did last year, and you're only about 75 miles short of where I was on this date last year. <br /><br />Reading what you and Pam post here, it sounds like you're having a great experience. Keep it up!<br /><br />BTW Had my closest bear encounter ever a few weekends ago on the AT at the NJ/NY border. The bear staked out our campsite and waited half the night for the chance to take two food bags.
